Disneyland® Resort at 70: New Shows and Attractions

As the Happiest Place on Earth begins its year-long 70th Anniversary festivities, new shows and attractions have been launched too. Of course, we didn’t want to miss the fun and magic. So, we went to Disneyland® Resort last May 16 to join the opening events for Disneyland®’s seven wonderful decades.

Lights, colors, magic everywhere!

We captured some of our favorite moments from the festivities. Think opening trumpets, colorful floats and parades, amazing light shows, and a captivating fireworks display. Indeed, nothing does fun and magic better than the Happiest Place on Earth.

New and extra colorful and vibrant shows are debuting. “World of Color Happiness!” will give us a fun-filled ride to the magical world of Disney and Pixar films. For a more nostalgic and artistic experience, “Tapestry of Fun” will highlight Disneyland®’s iconic moments in an awe-inspiring animated mosaic.

So, what are we waiting for? Let’s look at the new and returning shows and attractions that graced Disneyland® Resort’s special milestone.

Mickey sent his trumpet boys for a show to welcome guests…

A lively parade scene featuring a marching band in blue and white uniforms playing brass instruments. The band stands in a paved area with vibrant flags displaying the number 70. Trees and colorful decorations create a festive backdrop, capturing the spirit of celebration against a clear evening sky.

That felt like an exclusive experience.

Then Mickey and his friends showed up in a parade.

And childhood nostalgia kicked in.

Disney princesses were present too!

Looking straight out of our favorite fairytales. Magical!

Nighttime really brought out the best of Disneyland® Resort.

Paint the Night is returning for a magical treat for all ages…

The gigantic drum was telling everyone: “Aight, it’s time to party Disney style!”

Our beloved Disney characters made the night even dreamier.

Slinky and Minnie looked sleek and sweet with those dazzling lights.

Can we tell you how this animated mosaic stole our hearts?

World of Color Happiness made us sing, dance, and have many joyful emotions at once.

Even Mickey’s Fun Wheel had surprises prepared for all guests! Festive lights and music? Check. Electrifying fountain show? Check.

And a burst of colors showered the night sky.

What’s a Disney celebration without a majestic fireworks display? Paired with fancy light projections and the dramatic velvet sky, the ending fireworks sent us off to the sweetest dreams.
